Violence- a way out of violence
‘Peace’ is a floral word decorated with petals of non-violence and mutual understanding. An ideal peace, is one in which people understand one another and use non-violent measures to solve their problems. The only problem with ‘peace’ is that it doesn’t happen in reality. It is simply a decorative word used on documents and papers to enhance their credibility and improve their depth and volume. Those using these papers are principally, the instigators of violence in some form or another. Their peace calls for the world to engage in all sorts of peaceful endeavours so that they themselves can engage in violence more freely.
Thus has been the history of colonialists and dictatorships, who through their term of control advocated the oppressed populace to engage in peace and avoid violence- an indeed peaceful way of suppressing the sentiments of the oppressed millions. As long as the oppressed population remained dormant, the colonialists could continue their oppression and control.
