Discussion of assessment
The Global EI test has been used to assess the emotional intelligence level. This test
assesses the emotional intelligence under four quadrants. They are: Self-Awareness, Self-
Management, Social Aware
ness and Relationship Management. It checks the capability of an
individual to understand and mange self emotions as well as that of others. The Decision
Making Style Inventory determines the preferred decision making style. It defines two styles:
Rational decision style and Intuitive decision style. The Leadership Motivation Assessment
tool has been utilised to check the level of motivation to lead.
Outcome of assessment
How they reflect personality
I have scored 6 on self-awareness and self management whereas 8 on social
awareness and 7 on relationship management out of 10. It implies a high empathetic attitude.
I understand others and actively help them in resolving their issues. It leads to a high level of
agreeableness which indicates that I am cooperative and a friendly individual. Further, a
score of 7 indicates that I am an extrovert who feels highly energetic while interacting with
people. A score of 6 on self-awareness indicates the ability of understanding my own
emotions whereas self-management implies my control on self-emotions in different
situations.
I score 18 points in rational decision making style and 13 in intuitive decision making
style. It indicates that thinking dimension is high in my personality which means that I trust
more on logics and facts while making a decision. I trust more on external information as
compared to my gut feeling. I generally adopt a rational approach and look for objective
information available from multiple sources. A score of 13 indicates that I rely on evidences
against hunch and past experiences. I choose to make rational choices which are supported by
evidences even if they are not compatible with my intuition.
A score of 60 indicates a strong motivation to lead others. Being an extrovert
personality, I like to supervise people and mobilize them for goal achievement. I exert extra
efforts to understand their concerns and feel highly motivated to guide and help them. I have
