When a computer learns to play chess, it is not only programmed with the rules, but it receives feedback and correction when it makes a strategic mistake. Subsequently, it makes decisions based on probable outcomes learned from experience. Is education, then, simply a sophisticated form of programming? If so, do computers learn and make decisions differently than humans do? What would an advocate of strong AI say?
