Describe the Steps of How You Would Analyze Interview Data.
Data analysis is the process in which all the data collected from the qualitative methods used for research is reviewed and put together to create the research outcomes. The analysis of qualitative data is significant to the findings and is predetermined based on the information gathered through interviews, the collection of documents, case studies, observations, etc. (Creswell & Poth, 2017). Qualitative research is based on the learning of some phenomenon or situation by employing methods to understand the problem. One of these methods is interviewing. Interviews are typically a source of data collection used in qualitative research studies to understand the phenomenon (Creswell & Poth, 2017). The data gathered includes information obtained based on the research participants' interpretation of the studied topic. Participants provide the researcher with their personal views or perspectives based on their experiences, using this information as data to produce the study's outcomes (Creswell & Poth, 2017). Because interview data is used to determine the final results of the research study, an appropriate analysis of the information is crucial to the products.
The first crucial aspect of data analysis is the interpretation of the data. It is vital to interpret the information the participants presented in how they gave it. The researcher must first read the information acquired through the transcripts. Read the transcripts as a single entity first (Creswell & Poth, 2017 & Logfren, 2013). It is important to then follow the reading of the transcripts by rereading the data within the transcripts to interpret the information to determine the usefulness and relevance of different pieces of information in the collected data (Creswell & Poth, 2017 & Logfren, 2013). After rereading the information in the transcripts, read each interview transcript. It is essential to read and understand what is being conveyed by the participants to interpret the data (Creswell & Poth, 2017 & Logfren, 2013). The interpretations must be clear and accurately depict the information transferred by the participants during the interviews. To make appropriate interpretations of the data, browse through all the data collected. Then make notes about what is seen within the data.
Look for specific patterns or themes that emerge in the data and then begin coding based on these themes or patterns. Start coding the information by labeling the pieces of information such as words, phrases, sentences, or sections deemed relevant. Decide which codes are the most significant and create categories to bring several codes together (Creswell & Poth, 2017 & Logfren, 2013). Label the categories deciding which has the most significance and how they are interconnected. Decide if there is a hierarchy among the categories or if one has more importance than the other. Finally, interpret the results to write out the interpretation of the data and then discuss the results (Creswell & Poth, 2017 & Logfren, 2013). Connect the data after interpreting the data based on the categories or patterns, relate the data to possible literature, etc., to finalize the outcomes and the results.

An interview is seen as a social interaction based on communication (Creswell. 2017). The process of analyzing a transcript is to start by reading the transcript and rereading it. Label specific phrases, then start coding repeated or things that you find interesting. Decide which codes are essential and bring those together. Researchers have developed software that will automatically code data making the process easier (Davis,2009 Label the most relevant categories and describe the connection between them. Decide if there is a hierarchy among the categories.
Then write up the results by explaining the types and how they are connected, and under the heading, discuss the results. Qualitative analysis has two main approaches, which are inductive and deductive. The inductive study is called thematic and narrative. Both methods are seen as unstructured, yet the goal of thematic analysis is to find similar designs across data set. The narrative approach highlights essential parts of an individual story that a reader will probably seem interested in. The deductive analysis is structured and built by the researcher by creating categories before the study. So Transcribing an interview isn’t complicated. However, it hangs on following a few significant steps.
