Pat was someone who always did a great job. She was prepared to stay late when needed and always had time to help others in the team. She was a quick learner and had come up with new ideas and processes. Her manager appreciated the fact that she was so efficient and enthusiastic and often gave her extra tasks to complete. Pat, however, was beginning to feel frustrated. She knew she could do more and wanted to take extra qualifications. She had decided that if she didn’t progress further in the next year she would look elsewhere to develop her career.
