To show respect and support for each other, students must not engage in ridicule or sarcasm. Instead they must try to say constructive things about fellow group members. Instead of saying “That was really dumb,” they might say “I can understand how you might make that mistake.” “Fake it till you can make it,” Ms. Choo tells them, meaning that compliments may seem forced at first but will become more natural as time goes on.
