  2. Comparing the use of Tableau with Excel Pivot Tables, as an analysis, which do you prefer and why?

Part III ( in short):Reply to the following posts separately.1.

Discuss the usefulness of this tool to provide a visual representation of the business intelligence solution

Tableau is a great tool to provide avisualrepresentation for BusinessIntelligencesolutionbecause of how easy is to work with the application and how businesses can gain knowledge about the company sales and other information. this tool enablesthe users to join multiple tables with just drag and drop and choosinghow you want to see the informationreally easily. It avoids having to write queries to join the tables according to the foreignkey and also make the querying real easy.Tableauwas able to give a clear indication of how the business is doing with just draggingand droppingfields. Having thefunctionalityof seeing the data in the graph where the company can understand the growth of the company within any time frame and also view theinformationin a way that is more readable with thehighlightedview will enable thecompaniesto see how they are doing over the time frame with easy viewing functions. This tool is easy to use and also avoids the use ofqueryingdata andthereforesaving time and money. This tool is a great product for BI because it shows thecompanywhatthey need to see in terms of growth andsalesvery simply.

Comparing the use of Tableau with Excel Pivot Tables, as an analysis, which do you prefer and why?

Compared to theexcel,Tableaudoes more effective in providing the information that the company needs in an easier way. ThefunctionalityofTableauis much better than excel becauseyou could do more withTableauthan with excel for business. I would preferTableaubecauseof its function and itsfeature'sover excel.

2.Tableau is an excellent tool for providing visual representation of business intelligence solutions,it has many functions that allow the user to slice and dice data from the same or multiple sources and output them in a readable format.Being able to create a visualization by simply dragging and dropping the desired fields makes it easier to slice and dice data in a multidimensional form. Tableau also uses the "Show Me" function to allow you to see which table formats are available to you based on your table structure as well as the data that is provided. This program is very intuitive and an experienced user of Tableau can create comprehensivedashboards for lines of analysis that can be understood by people without knowledge in businessintelligence and data analysis.

When comparing the business intelligence tools provided by both Tableau and Excel Pivot Tables, I personally prefer Tableau as a data visualizationand reporting tool because it is made specifically for this function making it easier to format and break down data. Excel Pivot Tables are created within a spreadsheet and there are not nearly as many options for creating Pivot charts as there is in Tableau. Tableau is more intuitive, allowing the user to modify and spit data before the analysis begins using delimiters on specific fields. This makes data analysis more flexible and allows you to format data in a much more readable way. Tableau may take more time to learn but that is only because it is more comprehensive in terms of reporting and this is why it is my preferredmethod.

Part 1
a. What is line of Analysis
The Excel analysis line is a term that summarizes a list into a simple format. You can easily create a PivotTable from a list by defining the fields that you w
ant to place in a column, the fields that you want to make a row, and the data that you want to total.
b. What are the Dimensions and FACT tables considered?
The Dimension tables and the Fact tables is considered as that the Fact Table includes the information of the context we are talking about or simply the facts. For example say the fact table for a customer visiting a store would have keys like CustomerID, ProductID, UnitsSold, BillAmount etc. So these fields basically act as foreign keys to the Dimension Table which can include keys like Name, Gender, Age, Income, Region etc. So information like this is called customer demographics.
So the type of analysis we are doing we can require both data, So usage of the data depends on the results we are looking at so suppose if want to analyze data for the inventory we would need Fact Table, on the other hand, analyzing data for the Target demographics we would require Dimensions Table. So,
Both Dimensions and Fact Tables contain analytically useful information.
c. Create a graphical representation(dashboard)to reflect the Line of Analysis selected using Excel Pivot Tables
