Part II:Main AssignmentCOLLAPSE

"The great, unreported story in globalization is about power, not ideology. It's about how finance and business regularly, continuously insert their own self-interested deals and exceptions into rules and agreements that are then announced to the public as 'free trade.'" ~ William Greider

Post :Japan’s Globalization:COLLAPSE

Japan's geography has prompted the country to alternate between periods of isolationism and expansion. Its geography is made up of mountainous volcanic islands located in the western Pacific Ocean. The lack of natural resources in Japan continues to force the country to seek abroad, leaving the country to balance between U.S. naval dominance and China's expanding maritime interests. AccordingWorldview, when Japan unifies under strong centralized control, it is often drawn toward the continent for resources and land. This happened in the late 1500s and again in the early 1900s, leading to World War II. Since the end of war, Japan has become a full fledged democracy, with a long-established record of elections, parliament, and civilian control of the military. We can see

The major areas of trauma that can occur in their globalization situation can happen if they happen to not be in good terms with neighboring countries. Japan has gigantic neighbors that are China and Russia. They are capable of causing series problems politically and even militarily. “For a time during the cold war, Japan and the rest of the world shivered at the thought of a possible global conflagration between the communist and anticommunist camps” (Kohno 2008). Now, without communism to unite them, and bouncing resources, China and Russia nevertheless still remain colossal, casting shadow over the entire Japanese territory.

As we alsoknow Japan has showered the world with high tech exports, like their automobiles, microelectronic products and gadgets. This provides the country with many economic opportunities that helps their country overcome their geographic location.Globalization has affected every part of Japans economy. These parts include the amount of international trade, the flow of international finance, consumers, government policies, labor markets and environment, and all for the good. At the end It’s nice to see mutualization where China is supplying Japan with raw materials and labor intensive manufactured products, and Japan is supplying China with high technology and high value-added products and services.

Part 1: Answer one of the following.
5. Assess the geopolitics of International Environmentalism.
Geopolitics is a Greek term that is a combination of ‘Earth’ or 'land' and 'politics'. It is a study of the impact of the geography of the earth on the International and political relations. It is conce
rned about the economic relations between the countries. Environmentalism is a philosophy that highlights environmental protection. It focuses on improving the health and well being of the environment. It takes into consideration the measurement of changes in the environment and its impact on the non-living matter, plants, animals, and humans. The concern of environmentalism at the international level is referred to as International environmentalism when countries come together to take important decisions in their favor (Bernstein and Steven, 2000).
There is a strict need for successful geopolitics of international environmentalism to handle the insecurity over the natural resources (Wani and Ibrahim, 1991). The high commission of the United Nations on refugees informed that the natural calamities have forced around 26 million people every year to displace since 2008. The entire world seems to be facing the threat of ignoring environmentalism.
The burning issues like including the expected departure of the United Kingdom from the European Union, the automation impact, increasing populism of right-wing, the civil war of Syria and refugees, the future prospects of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), the relationship of the west with Russia, etc have attracted the attention of the people all over the world for public debates. International environmentalism doesn't seem to be in the limelight.
The world economic forum held at Davos, Switzerland in its Annual meeting even could not consider sustainable development and climate change in the best possible manner. The environmental insecurity is becoming a major contributor to the instability of the globe because of the underestimation by the geopolitical leaders (Cohen and Saul Bernard, 2014).
The problems causing to the environment is also making the agriculture suffer. The prices of the commodities of agriculture are increasing with an increase in global temperature. The protectionism in trade also shows the upward trend of high prices in consumer goods. Geopolitics in international environmentalism is not giving a satisfactory contribution.
