Part B. Assignment Details.
Directions:
Your case study assignment consists of two parts.
Part B item 1:
Read appendix A in your textbook. Once you've read Appendix A, goto part B item 2.
Part B item 2:
Download or print the Criminal Law and Cyber Crimes PDF file and answer these questions using the IRAC method discussed in Appendix A:
1. What findings of fact do these four cases have in common?
2. What crimes were committed in each case?
3. Are there any common elements between the questions in part B item 1 and the cases in part B item 2? If so, what? If not, why?
4. Are there any additional elements from chapters 1-14 that could have been considered in any of these cases? If so, what and why?
Part C. File Format Expectations.
Case studies, if completed in Microsoft Word, may be uploaded to the Case Study icon as is. If you are using WordPerfect, Open Office, Microsoft Works, or some other word processing software package, please save the document as a
Text File (TXT)
file before uploading it to the Case Study Assignment page. Also, please PASTE the contents of your finished case study file into the "Write Assignment" submission window of the Case Study Assignment page. After you have uploaded your finished document
AND
pasted the contents into the "Write Assignment" submission window (NOT THE COMMENTS WINDOW), click the Submit Assignment button so your case study assignment will be sent to me for grading.
NOTE: Failure to submit the case study in one of the two approved formats will result in a grade of zero (0) for the case study assignment! Failure to click the submit assignment button will also result in a grade of zero (0) for the assignment. Late submission penalties will be assessed at the rate of 40% if submitted between the due date and the expiration date.
