Part 4: The Atomic Bomb: Hiroshima and Nagasaki. You are a survivor of the bombing of Japan in 1945(either Hiroshima or Nagasaki) and you decided that 20 years after the event you want to write a letter to the United States either
in support or against
that bombing. The letter should be 500 words minimum. Be specific and know that some of what you write might have to be graphic, but factual. You might want to refer to John Hersey’s Hiroshima as a reference.

Dear Sir,
With respected greetings I want to draw your attention towards the infamous incident of atomic bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki which claimed millions of lives. I was one of the survivors of that bombing, however I really cannot understand till date that weather I should consider myself lucky or unlucky. On day of 26th July 1945, then United States president Harry S. Truman, British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and Chairman of the Chinese Nationalist Government Chang Kai-shek have issued a Potsdam Declaration which outlined the terms upon which the surrender of Japan empire was agreed upon. However Japan did not surrendered to this agreement and that could not bring the World War II to an end (Tomonaga, 2019). However post this disagreement to surrender the debate did taken place and finally in a bid to make Japan surrender the option of bombing was taken. I do agree that Japan’s surrender will bring to a six year running deadly world war; however is it justified to kill thousands of innocent Japanese for ending the war.
There were many controversies and opposition against this heinous step taken on 6-9 August 1945 over bombings in Hiroshima and Nagasaki that claimed thousands of lives and left crippled many people and unborn innocent people for life....
