The Porter's Five Forces analysis is a tool which investigates the competitiveness of a company by evaluating the internal and external forces that affects the company. It helps to evaluate the factors that affect the competition and effective decisions are taken by the company to improve its business strategy and thrive in the competition.
· Threats of new entrants- The food industry is a viable and one of the profitable industry in the economy. Since food is a necessary commodity launch number of new entrants are continually entering into the industry because there is a ready market which is almost the entire global population. However, there are aspects of government regulations and policies which need to be met before entering into the industry this makes it difficult to some entrance to enter into the industry at high marginal cost. Covid-19 has not impacted this aspect.
