Part 2:In a professional context , ethics often refers to a set of standards that provide guidance to individuals within a particular discipline with the goal of assisting them in resolving ethical Dilemmas they may face in the process of engaging in their business practices.
After reading chapter 3 and watching recommended videos, please respond to the questions below in one thread and then give feed back to one other classmates responses.




1). Define: Ethics, Ethical Dilemmas, Ethical Standards, Ethical Values, Morality, Cognitive Dissonance, Social Justice2). Review Kohlberg’s Moral Dilemmas and discuss the different levels of moral reasoning, debating the pros and cons of each level in managing professional ethical dilemmas. For instance, might there be situations where deviating from professional ethical standards might be more ethical than strictly adhering to established ethical standards? Explain?


3). What are your thoughts on the "Heinz Dilemma"?4). Consider Festinger’s Cognitive Dissonance Theory and its implication for moral behavior, including the various ways individuals may avoid cognitive dissonance in ways that could be perceived as unethical, such as using excessive self-justification and rationalization.Please recall a time when you behaved somewhat unethically (e.g., gossiped, etc.), and please explore/share how you managed your dissonance.5). Review the Human Services Ethical Standards page in the NOHS website (google NOHS). What are your thoughts after reviewing?

It comprises of people who dedicate their lives for the betterment of the society by effectively serving the old, poor and for the minority sections of the society.
