Part 1: Critical Analysis of the Academic Literature (2,000 words) Expand on the analysis of the given articles on the contemporary issue in Project Management given in the attached document (Doc 1) Using the handout "How to Critique an Academic Paper" as a guide, include an analysis of the following for the contemporary issue and articles you selected: • The main subject matter and purpose of each of the articles • The conceptual basis of each of the articles • The prior research and research approach taken in each of the articles • The authors’ interpretation of the results in each of the articles • The importance of the studies in each of the articles to the issue • How these articles contribute to gaps in theory related to the issue • How these article contribute to gaps in practice related to the issue Part 2: Assessment of the Strategic Implications (2,000 words) For the Project Management Issue mentioned in attached document (Doc 1), expand on it and include the following: • A real-world example of a project that your chosen project management issue would impact and explain the impact. Relate the example to your own experiences. • An explanation of the following: o Background: a brief description of the project (e.g., location, timeline) o Key challenges related to the project o Typical stakeholders • The impact of the contemporary issue on the project and stakeholders. o What might be the risks to the project or stakeholders if the challenges identified are not addressed? o A reflection on the insights you have gained. How could challenges related to the issues be prevented in the future? Part 3: Executive Summary Presentation (6-8 slides, 500 words) Review the following scenario: Imagine that a team of senior executives has asked you to report on the issue you chose in contemporary project management. You decide to create a PowerPoint or similar graphic presentation to show the group of executives. For the issue you chose in Part 1, create a PowerPoint-style presentation that includes a synopsis of the issue as well as project management tools, skills and strategies needed to address the issues. For this section of the Final Project, create your PowerPoint-style presentation which is composed of 6-8 slides that include the following: • A synopsis of the influence of your chosen issues on project leadership. • Tools, skills and strategies project managers need to address these issues A reflection providing new insights on contemporary project management insights (NB: Check the attached documents Final Project Details and Doc 1)
