Paper #3 (75 points): For this paper, pretend that Epictetus is writing an advice letter to you. In fact, start off the letter with "Dear [Your Name]:". Assume the persona of Epictetus as you quote across a healthy range of his book. You are pretending that Epictetus is quoting himself (using MLA style, of course!) to help you live a better life and become a better person in certain text-specific ways. Feel free to have Epictetus advise you about a particular circumstance. Ultimately, the challenge is to apply "antique" material to very specific, individual, personal, and contemporary situations, and to do so with text-engaged credibility. After your last paragraph, sign off with the following: "Sincerely Yours, Epictetus." Use only the book as your only reference, and refer to it in the present tense.

However, you need to take this stress positively else, these issues will try to control you and drag your performance down. Being a hardworking champion, you need to understand this is the most important as well as interesting part of your life. I am here to guide you and have disclosed few mantras to handle this mushrooming stress and excel in your life.
First, you need to understand you cannot control everything in life. Therefore, manage your expectations, "Don’t hope that events will turn out the way you want, welcome events in whichever way they happen: this is the path to peace". " (Epictetus, The Enchiridion) Few things in life are in your control like your actions, thoughts, behavior. While, few things that are not in your control. If you focus your energy on things that are not in your control or have any power to change it, then it will result into disappointment. Everything boils down to your actions and your mindset. There are people around you who are trying to change things that are out of their control and obliviously are caught in a trap. Focus on things that you can control like your performance in class and invest your efforts in learning new skills.
I want to tell you, "Man is disturbed not by the things, but by the views he takes of them" (Epictetus, The Enchiridion), circumstance that affect you are beyond your control and therefore it is not wise to categorize them as good or bad. However, the choices you make, how you behave and decisions you will takes are in our control and that can be categorized as good or bad. External events that takes place in...
