Introduction
The following assignment is critically appraising the research paper “Music festival attendees’ illicit drug use, knowledge and practices regarding drug content and purity: a cross-sectional survey”. This paper emphasize on teenagers and youth are consuming illegal drugs. This activity is mostly occurring during music festivals. Compared to the general population, attendees of music festivals have high use of illicit drug internationally.
There are many high risks involved in consumption of illicit drugs such as seizures, multiple organ failure and hyperthermia. Since people are unaware of the purity of drugs, they consume the quantity resulting into overdose. More the pure drug, high the effectiveness in small quantity. Several countries have set-up local bodies to check the purity of drug to prevent the harm caused by it. Despite the support from public, the drug checking facilities are yet to pass in Australia.

All the authors of this paper are well qualified to conduct the research on the paper. They all belongs to the healthcare sectors. The main contributors of the paper are Niamh Day, Joshua Criss, Benjamin Griffiths and Shireen Kaur Gujral. All the authors are designated at University center at designated health. Research questions
The aim of the study is to increase the understanding of attitude and behavior towards drug checking services among music festival patron. To the knowledge of the author, this is the first research based on music festivals to survey attendees about drug checking services in Australia. Following study hypothesized that providing valuable knowledge about drug testing services to the music attendee will help in increasing the contribution of the vulnerable population in ongoing debate about drug testing at music festivals.
The authors from the starting of the paper are emphasizing the need to study the area and trying to set that ongoing debate of drug testing at music festival must result in favor of drug testing in Australia.
