Please read all instructions and requirements carefully.2.0Learning OutcomesThis assignment allows you to demonstrate progress towards achieving the following unitlearning outcomes:At the completion of this Unit, you will be able to:ULO 3Describe the importance of delivering business value to clients viaengineering leadership, and appreciate how this is achieved.ULO 5Explain the challenges of managing complexity and uncertainty in engineering leadership.ULO 6Demonstrate knowledge of engineering leadership skills. This assignment will also help you demonstrate learning achievements towards other unitlearning outcomes. We encourage you to review those to discover additional learningopportunities that will enhance the quality of your submission and final results.3.0WeightingThis assignment represents 25% of the total grade for this unit.4.0Assignment questionIn 2008, the world faced a financial crisis that later became known as the ‘GFC’ – Global Financial Crisis. It led to the collapse of multi-billion dollars banks, industries, companies, etc. However, some engineering businesses (from large to small firms) managed to survive the GFC by having good leaders/leadership teams. You need to write a research paper by examining one such engineering/technology leader from any country around the world, utilizing the key fundamentals of engineering leadership knowledge. You need to present a critical review that best assess the success of that leader by discussing as many leadership skills/traits, leadership styles, and type of innovation leadership approach as possible, that you think was adopted by that leader. There is no need to discuss the process, or procedures etc.., rather the focus would be on traits and basic skills that they demonstrated. You need to justify your analysis by examining practical situations faced by the leader while describing the traits/styles/innovation approach. Based on your analysis, make logical conclusions by suggesting traits, styles and innovation approach, which might be helpful for other engineers. Please note: This is not a biography.
