OVERALL REFLECTIONS
In this section, you may enter journal notes regarding incidents that occur or things you have observed during any of your visits. If there were incidents or issues that were questions for you, but that did not have a section in this workbook, this would be a good place for such a discussion.
The required entry for this section is to reflect on the totality of your observation experiences over the course of the semester. You might include your observations regarding:
-how successfully students with special needs are integrated into the social and
academic milieu of the school
-school practices that enhance or impede successful inclusion
-how well education professionals work together in serving students with special
needs. In some cases, classroom teachers work as full partners in the education
of these students; in other cases, classroom teachers leave all intervention and
direct instruction of these students to special educators.
-how aides and other members of a “special education” team are integrated into
the activities of a classroom
-how welcome parents and others feel observing in classrooms--and whether they
are asked to become resources in the classroom
-how students with special needs are treated by other students.
Include your reflections concerning issues raised above or any other issues you noted regarding how the school works with students with special needs. When this section and all those preceding are completed and your fifteen hours of observation are documented, your work for the Field Work/Observations of Teaching Students with Special Needs is done.
It was a challenge because it was in a different setting. Instead of having a classroom observation, We're observing through watching videos.
^^^^^^^^ Just reword that
