Other imput for this assignment is 2 papers that I had previously written and can provide. Is it something that can be done?
The final project in this course will be a critical analysis of the Learning Design Thinking process. The purpose of this analysis is to provide you with the opportunity to critically examine your experience during the design challenge project and evaluate how the Learning Design Thinking model supported you during the design process. From course content, projects, teamwork, and implementation of the Learning Design Thinking model, reflect on your ability and effectiveness to solve instructional problems and manage learning design projects. What steps or activities would you do differently? What additional resources or ideas should be included to support the process? How effective was your leadership style and conflict resolution strategies? Essentially, how might you change the Learning Design Thinking model to better fit the learning design cycle? In this project, you have an opportunity to reshape the Learning Design Thinking model to reflect your thoughts and ideas on how to approach, lead, and manage learning design projects. When you submit your project, your work will be evaluated using the competencies listed below. You can use the list below to self-check your work before submission. STEP 1 Any distinguished learning designer engages in self-reflection to improve and grow professionally. Changing technologies, processes, laws, and regulations create a demand for innovation to improve learning design—and for a learning designer to stay competitive. Self-reflection combined with change management makes for a successful learning designer who not only stays on the cutting edge of the industry, but also knows how to implement projects with minimal effort. During the Critical Analysis project you will conduct a critical analysis of the Learning Design Thinking model. Begin by thinking about the course, the content covered, and your role throughout the design challenge. You might want to create an outline of your takeaways from this course—what you needed to adapt, as well as concepts and strategies that will move with you into the future of your learning design career. Determine how Learning Design Thinking worked as a six-step process: the interplay of each phase, and how it assisted you in arriving at the ultimate solution to your instructional problem. Assess the ways effective leadership and conflict resolution strategies contributed to your end result. Examine what needed (or needs) to be adjusted within the organizational change models throughout the project based on the organizational cultural awareness to succeed within the change management process. Also go back and review the leadership model you chose, either Kotter's Eight-Step Change model, Lewin's Change Management model, or Rogers's Diffusion of Innovation theory. As you reviewed the content and the project, your leadership approach, the team dynamics, and implementation, what do you feel worked well? What would you do differently? You can collaborate with your team to discuss ideas, but for the final deliverable you will be writing your own critical analysis article of the Learning Design Thinking process and how you would redesign all or parts of it to create a workable approach you will continue to use within the program and in your learning design career. STEP 2 In this step, you will take the outline you produced during your self-reflection and fully develop your critical analysis article of the Learning Design Thinking model. One way to think about how you might redesign the model is to consider how you would apply those concepts to a new situation—such as your final Consultancy Project. The consultancy project is the summative assessment in the final course of the program, which is just around the corner for you! For your consultancy, you will be the learning designer in charge of designing and developing a real-world, published online learning module. For your consultancy project, you can identify the project idea and SME and collaborate to design, build and publish your learning module; or you can work with your instructor to identify a project idea that you can lead. As you conduct your critical analysis, think about how you would apply your redesigned model to complete your consultancy project. When writing a scholarly conference paper, keep in mind ideas and approaches that can be easily adjusted to a journal article that can be published. Correctly cite your critical analysis article with the proper references and citations, and consider any legal and ethical implications for instructional design within the content before publishing your article. If you want to review what online journals look for in an article, look at the online submission requirements for articles from International Journal of Designs for Learning, Journal of Formative Design in Learning, or Journal of Applied Instructional Design, which you can find on the website for each journal. You are highly encouraged to consider this project article as something you can submit for publication. Additionally, we'd like to highlight the best examples of your work by publishing them on UMGC's own Learning Design and Technology page. Deliverable: Write an article about a critical analysis of the Learning Design Thinking process and your reflections on the process as a framework for implementing design process. The paper, which should consist of eight to ten pages of text, must be formatted in accordance with APA style guidelines. Post your deliverable to the Assignment Folder. Before you submit your assignment, review the competencies below, which your instructor will use to evaluate your work. A good practice would be to use each competency as a self-check to confirm you have incorporated all of them in your work.
