Organizational Change Intervention Research
This week you are compiling content for your change intervention proposal. Research the company that you have selected. All organizational change begins at the top so it’s important to identify the leadership of the organization, as they influence everything that happens in the organization. Also, consider the effect specific departments have on successful organizational change. The change intervention may attempt to affect change and improve areas such as human resources, marketing, finance, the organizational structure, or its decision-making processes of the company. Take great notes and look for information that describes behaviors of staff, clients and culture of the company.
Prepare and submit a 2 – 3 page overview of the company leadership and the impact they have had on your selected organization at the end of this week. Use a minimum of three external scholarly sources (books, journal articles, ProQuest, etc.) in addition to the text for this week’s research. Keep a list of resources you have used thus far and begin to compile a bibliography. Turn this list in with your overview of company leadership this week. There are tips for creating a bibliography at the end of this assignment. Review the assignment rubric for complete grading criteria on this week’s deliverables.

- Summarize how to handle any backlash the company encounters from employees.
TIPS TO CREATING A BIBLIOGRAPY
Creating an annotated bibliography requires you to apply a variety of intellectual skills: concise exposition, succinct analysis, and informed library research. Your first step is to locate books, periodicals, and documents that may contain information and ideas that are useful and relevant to your topic. The Ashford University Library is a great place to find resources. After reviewing a broad range of materials, select those works that provide a variety of perspectives on your topic. Cite the book, article, or document using APA format. The Writing Center and RefWorks are good resources for compiling bibliographies. There is information on RefWorks in the Writing Center.
Finally, write a concise annotation (3-4 sentences) that summarizes the central theme and scope of the book or article. Be sure to include the following: (a) an evaluation of the authority and/or background of the author, (b) a comment on who the intended audience is and how effectively the author reached that audience, (c) a comparison of this work and another you have cited, also noting the differences in the materials, and (d) explain how this work illuminates your topic.
These resources will assist you in creating a bibliography.
