Student instructions Student instructions During your course, you will work on the project indicated below. The project will be completed in class as part of the simulated work environment. This assessment task requires you to interpret market trends and developments for a business of your choice. You will be required to conduct an analysis of market data to determine organisational and competitor business performance, and to prepare market and business forecasts that assist in targeting marketing activities and in drawing up a marketing plan. The business you choose to complete this assessment tasks could be a business that you have studied for another of the units included in this Diploma of Marketing or you could choose a different business. In order to be able to interpret market trends and developments for your chosen business, you will need to be able to access and use data contained in documents such as marketing plans, business or strategic plans, financial reports, information about sales performance or any other internal reports, as well as external sources of information such as the Australian Bureau of Statistics, journals, etc. You will need to seek your assessor’s approval of your choice of business before you commence the assessment. Do this via email or verbally. If you are unsure about which business to choose or are having difficulty finding documentation that will assist you to conduct this assessment, discuss this with your assessor who will be able to assist you. The assessment will require you to conduct and report on all of the tasks below. The outcome of the assessment will be a written report that addresses all of the project activities below. Your report must include an executive summary, at the beginning of the report outlining the findings of your report.
