Only 42% of the ANES respondents say they have current passports. What explains whether one has a passport? First, we posit that political party has an effect. Then, we think it might be wise to control for income. Run a set of logistic regression models with the recoded passport variable as your dependent variable. In your first model, use only the recoded political party variable. In the second model, add family income in 1,000s. Create a table with both models in it and explain your results. Use Model 1 to predict probability of passport for a strong Democrat and then a strong Republican. Use Model 2 to predict probability of passport for someone whose family income is $10,000 and then someone whose family income is $150,000.
