There are several places you can go on the Internet to locate resources that will be useful to you as you learn Visual C++. The Microsoft Visual C++ Developer Center at: is by far the most comprehensive. Whenever you have a question about some aspect of Visual C++ programming, you can usually find the answer, along with valuable examples, on this website.
Start your exploration of this website by locating the important reference library and learning tools. To reach the library, click the Library tab at the top of the screen. To reach the learning tools, click the Learn tab at the top of the screen.
Explore the links you find on these pages and locate the following resource links under the Learn tab:

• Programming Guide
• Guided Tour
• ‘‘How do I . . .?’’
Make note of what is available in each section. Print a copy of the ‘‘Getting Started’’ page as a reminder to you of what is available online. Knowing what is available online could save you many hours of frustrating experimentation when you write your own programs.
