One of Ken Kobus’s arguments is that “steelmaking is just beautiful” (paragraph 3). Was such a claim surprising for you? Why? What evidence does Kobus offer? For him, what is the nature of the beauty of steelmaking? (It is, for example, not like the beauty of flowers in spring or a child’s face.)
