In order to fully appreciate this part of a mer­chandiser’s/product managers job, you will act as a newly hired member of the merchandisingstaff of an apparel company.or private brand developing staff of a national retailer.You may se­lect the type of apparel that your company produces, i.e. women’s dresses, women’s sports­wear, men’s tailored clothing, men’s accessories, etc. One of your responsibilities is to submitperiodic reports about information found in electronic articles that would be of interest to yourVice President of Merchandising/Private Brands**This report should be typewritten in a business report format, include a copy of the article, andshould explain the significance of this information to your company and two courses of actionthat you suggest should be taken in response to the information in the article.
