In order to fully appreciate this part of a mer­chandiser’s/product managers job, you will act as a newly hired member of the merchandisingstaff of an apparel company.or private brand developing staff of a national retailer.You may se­lect the type of apparel that your company produces, i.e. women’s dresses, women’s sports­wear, men’s tailored clothing, men’s accessories, etc. One of your responsibilities is to submitperiodic reports about information found in electronic articles that would be of interest to yourVice President of Merchandising/Private Brands**This report should be typewritten in a business report format, include a copy of the article, andshould explain the significance of this information to your company and two courses of actionthat you suggest should be taken in response to the information in the article. It should be atleast one and one half pages in length, be in the format of a memorandum and meet the follow­ing requirements:—demonstrate your understanding of the subject by summarizing the 2­3 key points with2­3 supporting details for each point (this should be at least 3/4 page in length and represent50% of the report)—logical conclusion and relevance to an apparel merchandiser/product manager includ­ing your choice of one of two actions you would take in responding to the information (thisshould be at least 3/4 page in length and represent 50% of the report)an effective organization and development of YOUR thoughtsincluded quotations must be used judiciously and documented properlysentences should not be too long, run on to one another, be incomplete, or fragmentedparagraphs should not be too many or too few with proper transitions between eachinformation can not be presented in a disjointed or disorganized mannerwords must be spelled and used correctly (single verb with single noun)
