On a hot day, the temperature of a race track is higher than that of the surrounding air. The track temperature is highly influential in determining the rate of tire degradation for a race car. Determine the track temperature for air temperatures of 20°C, 28°C and 35°C. You may assume that the intensity of sunlight is 1250 W/m2and that 20% of the light incident on the surface of the track is reflected and the rest is absorbed. The heat transfer coefficient between the track and the surrounding air is 100 W/m2K.
