Objective: Now that you have a full year of Spanish 3, it’s time to show off what you know, and write or narrate a “memory story” of what you have learned about art and culture this year. To incorporate the vocabulary and grammar you have learned throughout the year, you will need to select an option from the list of either art, literature, or cultural topics and complete a written or oral presentation as if you were writing a book about your personal story.
Requirements
Part A: Pick ONE of the following topics. You need to create a story using the option that you think would work best with your typical lifestyle:
● traditional spanish holiday
● rite of passage for example Quinceaneras, Fiesta Rosa, Quinces or Fiesta Quinceaneras etc
You should write in Spanish so we can evaluate your learning of the language. Also, you want to write the story in the first person as a memory of what you did during the holiday or rite of passage. Include cultural things you learned about the holiday or rite of passage. Be sure to use a variety of verbs tenses (preterit, imperfect, and subjunctive being the most important). Include photos that describe the holiday or rite of passage.
Part B: Pick ONE of the following options of presentation:
Written presentation (your pick):
* Power Point
* Prezi
* Google Slide
Pick any program and make 6-10 slides, each with a picture. You must have a total of 15-20 sentences. Remember your sentences must correspond to the pictures/slides you share of the actual painting, literary work, holiday, or vacation location specifically in your presentation If you do more than 10 slides, ONLY the first 10 slides will be graded.
Remember the following:
* You MUST use vocabulary from the course and text to show me that you learned and mastered the material.
* Watch your grammar and tense in your sentences.
* Each sentence must have at least have a subject and verb. Remember to properly conjugate your verb and that subjects and verbs must agree.
* Finally, it must be completely done in complete sentences in Spanish. Accent marks, tildes, and any upside down question marks or exclamation points also count towards your score.
I am assessing you & your skill level, not the skill level of a translator/dictionary. Use the KISS method: Keep It Simple, Sweetie!
