Note that this is for publication of a full case study in a journal, therefore you do not have to follow the instructions to the letter. For simplicity and not wasting your word count, do not include keywords or abstract (they are used to facilitate online literature search). You need to have an enticing title and also an interesting and appropriate Introduction section. Please take note of the point 3 in page 201 of the article , you need to 'have a clear idea of what is particularly interesting about the case you want to describe' (do not use quotations as demonstrated since this is not a proper practice for writing a scientific article - but it is quite common in educational/teaching journal articles). There are various ways you can adopt to present your case study; from the point of view of an interesting therapeutic agent that you encounter and you would like to discuss and educate your colleagues, who may work in different areas of nursing and have no knowledge of that agent (after all, case studies are for educational purposes), or some sort of medical mishaps/mismanagements resulting in the hospital admission of your patient. You can also start your Introduction describing a disorder that you want to present e.g. renal failure and then you case in details in the following sections. Please refer to the marking rubrics on the Learnline. You can see that marks have been allocated to Introduction and Conclusion and appropriate referencing style (Vancouver). Please seek help from the CDU librarians or the staff at ALLSP if you are not familiar with this referencing style or how to present your case study. In page 202 of the article point 8, it is stated that 'Try to avoid using textbooks as references, ...' since this demonstrates that the author is too lazy to put in the original resources, and you are not acknowledging the right person(s) who did the original work.In summary, the essential parts in this assignment are good Introduction, relevant case presentation (do not include real name and other personal information), management and outcomes plus a little section on Pharmacology, good discussion and summary to conclude your case study (with all appropriate in-text references), and a reference list with correct style. Please do not present your case study in dot points.
