Note that the position statement we have provided for you to critique refers to the NMBA competency standards. Keeping this in mind please refer to the NMBA competency standards when critiquing the document rather than the NMBA policy statements (2016) finalised August this year. Students are required to demonstrate their ability to critically review a prepared position statement, analysing its content from both a theoretical and clinical perspective. Moreover students will need to demonstrate understanding of the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia Registered Nurse standards for practice as they pertain to the position statements.
