Research Paper Outline
Course 693
Background:
Not-for-profits (“NFPs”)have been designed to fulfill a mission in local, state, and federal communities. “Profits” are not the mission, though, one can argue the salaries and payments to workers are in fact profits gained for services rendered, simply distributed among its key executives. You will choose to either defend the activities of NFPs or criticize NFPs.
Purpose:
The following research paper is designed to examine Not-For-Profit (“NFP”) entities utilizing your knowledge of NFP accounting and how it effects operations, longevity, efficiency, and successes. By choosing a NFP you will critique its mission and vision by researching its operational history, ability to obtain donors and donor funds, and determine whether the NFP is operationally successful in fulfilling its mission or if the NFP is simply a fund for longevity (ie. Is it doing the bare minimum to expand on its business life and play employees, is it simply operating out of optics).
