No single assessment method will be able to capture the whole process of clinical reasoning and decision making. A combination of instruments will have to be used in an assessment program.
For each case, there may not be a single best way of clinical reasoning. Assessment should focus on distinguishing between good or acceptable reasoning processes and bad or unacceptable reasoning processes.
