Symmetry and Asymmetry: In statistics, when the right side of the distribution is the same as
the left side of distribution from the mean value, we say that distribution is symmetric. Whereas,
if the right side isn't a mirror image of the left side, distribution is asymmetric.
Bias, Positive Bias, Negative Bias: The difference between the true value and the expected
value of an estimator is called Bias in statistics. A positive bias denotes over estimation by the
estimator compared to true value, while a negative bias denotes underestimation.
Mesocúrtic, Leptokurtic, Platicúrtica: In statistics, kurtosis presents the shape of the
distribution. It measures the concentration/closeness of the samples, and says about the trails.
A standard Normal distribution has the kurtosis of 3, so assuming our values are also close to
that then our graph’s tails are nearly normal. These distributions are called mesokurtic.
