The purpose of this paper is to move from theory, strategies, and skills to begin the assessment of the human services system in relation to adaptive change.

You will need to identify a local human services system for this paper. This may be related to your current work position or where you may wish to work in the future. You may choose a human services system of any level: program, agency/organization, or network.

Assignment Instructions

Write an 8–10-page paper, assessing a human services system in relation to adaptive change. In your paper:

• Include a description of the human services system, its current context practice, and projected changes in the context of practice.


• Assess the impact of these forecasts on the system.


• Assess the system's ability and receptivity to change.

Support your paper with local sources and government and professional literature, along with a minimum of five scholarly sources. Note that local sources could be newspapers and newsletters or websites of local organizations and agencies.
