DUE DATE:  09/08/219 Task instructions The purpose of this assessment is to enable students to use leadership techniques and strategies to facilitate team cohesion and work outcomes, understanding of purpose, roles and responsibilities of team and group decision making. This assessment task one will cover knowledge taught in week one to four. By completing this assessment you will be equipped with the basic knowledge and skills to tackle more complex scenarios in this unit.  This short-answer assessment task is one of two assessment tasks you need to complete satisfactorily, in order to be deemed competent for this course. There are 8 short answer questions that relate to content covered in week 1 to 4. Assessment Instructions In Class Short Answers test You need to answer ALL 8 Questions using the word document provided in CANVAS. This is an open book Assessment, you are allowed to access all course material while completing this Assessment. This is an individual Assessment, the answers you provide must be your own. What For this assessment you are asked to provide short answers covering material from week 1 to week 4. Team cohesion is understood as the extent to which each member in a team works in united manner in the pursuit of achieving mutually agreed goals. Any team can be considered as in the state of cohesion when members’ shares close connection and association with each other, and, working in a team a whole. Team cohesion leads to high team performance as it develops interpersonal empathy among team members. Interpersonal empathy builds confidence among team members, allowing each member to be aware of the skills and personality thereby knowing each other better and accomplishing tasks with more efficiency and spirit (Bryson and Alston, 2017).
It is said that when team members know each other that they are working with, they automatically develop different level of trust with each other. This trust increases their motivation and commitment, which in turn leads to high performance. Team cohesiveness also helps in building emotional intelligence at workplace.
