Natalia WillisDavidHume was correct when he wrote âthe life of a man is of no more importance tothe universe that that of an oysterâ. This is true because the universe willcontinue on with little impact from us as an individual. However if you take intoconsideration the human race as an entire entity; we are a large impactingunit. Think of a human being as a single strain of bacteria. If a wound isopened and bacteria enter they will eventually multiply and consume the woundedwithout intervention. The human race if left uninhibited will consume ourhost/the world. Thus impacting our surrounding universe. The meaning of lifefor the individual is to leave little negative impact on the world we live sothat we can preserve it for future generations. We must also make sure to leavea great positive impact on the condition of the lives of those around us. If wetreat others with kindness they will pass on that kindness; this would make theworld a better place. These acts give our lives meaning.
JessicaColungaDavid Hume quote is deep, but I disagree with his statement. Iwould say life is one most beautiful things that one can live by. Life cannotnot be granted and it is to live life to the fullest. We humans need toappreciate the little things in life and enjoy every moment that we can. Themeaning in my life is to experience the everyday life and to be blessed to bealive. I am blessed with what I have now and I appreciate the people around me.Anything that is living is life and the meaning of the blessing that God hasprovided to the world. We should have to be happy with being alive andespecially in general.
