Part 1: Academics

    In which COE specific program of
study are you enrolled?
     I got myself enrolled in the program Psychology and Counselling which involves psychological skills and studies the challenges dealing in the healthcare field.
    Identify the required courses in your program.
    Under this program, the course I preferred is college of nursing and healthcare profession. As nurses can best relate a psychology of the patient, therefore this would be a best suitable in this regard.
    In addition to Student Teaching, which courses in your program require practicum/field experience hours (Refer to course descriptions on the GCU.edu website)?
     In addition to student teaching, language and communication is the ideal course that requires field experience in order to understand the various languages, culture, beliefs, religions and many more within a diverse group. The college of nursing and healthcare profession itself is also allows a student to participate in the field experiences courses.
    Which courses do you anticipate being the most challenging? Why?
     As per my opinion I think that handling the course of Criminal justice, government and public administration is quite tough as it not only needs field experiences, but also need to understand the individual victims personally. This is the most challenging course as several risks are involved while investigating about the crime and the criminals who might harm the investigator and even their family out of revenge.
    What skills or resources will you need for this program of study and how will you acquire them?
     The skills that are required to complete successfully my enrolled course are: firstly, developing the understanding and observation skills. Secondly, psychological skills, thirdly, communicating efficiently, fourthly, listening and cooperating skills.
    After exploring the resources on the COE page within the Student Success Center, which resources will be the most helpful to you?
     After exploring the resources on the CEO page within the student success center, I think, simulation Lab would be the right choice of resources for the direct care course which would access the student the updated simulation lab version and would develop the direct care skills in order to understand patients’ psychology.
