  1. If the foliation on a rock is running north-south what direction is the tectonic pressure coming from?

  1. Give the rock I examined in the parking lot a name that is closest to the names of metamorphic rocks we learned. It’s foliated with a flat surface that is just a little bit shiny from the growth of the mineral Mica.

  1. Is it a good idea to take data on the orientation of foliation of any rock that we find? Why or why not?

Ans: In North Carolina of United State the Uwharrie Mountain was made Gondwana tectonic plate and Morrow Mountain is the part of it formed by 500-600 years ago. In South-East Asia Himalayan Mountain rage had made by same tectonic plate.
2. If the foliation on a rock is running north-south what direction is the tectonic pressure coming from?
Ans: If foliation on rock occurs from north to south then the tectonic pressure was created from north direction. During foliation which can observed the pressure comes from opposite direction of forming rock.
3. Give the rock I examined in the parking lot a name that is closest to the names of metamorphic rocks we learned. It’s foliated with a flat surface that is just a little bit shiny from the growth of the mineral Mica.
Ans: Metamorphic rocks made up by direct pressure and environmental changes. Accumulation mica rocks as same way Slate, Gneiss, Schist can make from foliation and Marble, Quartzite made up from non-foliation...
