Biochemical molecules are the
molecules produced by living organisms. Each and every living organism, including cell that plays role in making up of a human body comprises of various biomolecules in small sets. Majorly there are four categories of biochemical molecules. These are as follows:
1. Carbohydrates
These contain elements of carbon, oxygen ad well as hydrogen (C, O and H). Most common carbohydrates are sugars. Inside a cell, carbohydrates play various roles such as acting as source of energy, providing structure to cell, help in communication, and supports cell adhesion along with acting as defensive mechanism for removal of foreign substance from the body.
