My grandson likes to play with cards (he always includes the jokers). First he drops the deck of cards, then he picks up as many as he feels like grabbing, and just plays with those. He always picks up at least 1 card, but he could pick up 1, all 54, or any number in between. How many possible combinations are there for what he might pick up? (The order in which he picks them up doesn't matter).
