Calculation Application Assignments Rubric This rubric will be used to evaluate submitted calculation work in this course. It will be used to assess the Application Assignments for weeks 2, 6, and 11. Application Assignments will be graded on 1) Correctness and 2) Completeness. Scoring Instructions All Application Assignments may earn a maximum of 8 points; 4 points for each category (Correctness and Completeness). Carefully review the criteria for each category as all bullets may not pertain to each problem or question for each Calculation based Application Assignment.  Correctness Responses exceed or meet the requirements of the instructions. They: Both respond to and go beyond what is required in some meaningful way (e.g., contribute a new dimension, unearth something unanticipated, etc.); and Are substantive, reflective, evidence based; and Demonstrate that the student has read, viewed, and considered the Learning Resources; Response and Show an in-depth understanding and application of concepts and issues presented in the course (e.g., insightful interpretations or analyses; accurate and perceptive parallels, ideas, opinions, and conclusions), showing that the student has absorbed the general principles and ideas presented; and Are well supported by pertinent research/evidence from multiple peer-reviewed books and journals, where appropriate; and Demonstrate mastery and thoughtful/accurate application of skills or strategies presented in the course; and Make few if any errors in calculations.
