Introduction
Workplace diversity can be defined as creating an environment in the office, which can be acceptable to every person in the office. It embraces the strength of the staff and gives them scope to work to their full ability (Al-Jenaibi, 2017). Diversity can be of any type. It can be age, gender, race, ethnicity, working style, education, marital statu
s, religious belief, disability, work experience, social and economic background, family responsibility, and cultural background. The diversity in the workplace brings different qualities to the company. It helps the people to get exposure to unique backgrounds and have a positive impact on the internal relationship, with the customers and shareholder. For instance, when a US company finalises a deal with the Chinese company and they already have employees from China, this enriches cultural background bring ease in finalising the deal. This is because the company already know the culture, have thorough knowledge of the needs of their partners. Government all over the world has imposed the legislation to control the discrimination especially at workplace.

Diversity at the workplace increases the productivity and enhances the creativity. It brings profit to the company, makes the employees more engaged, it increases the reputation of the company. The company rich in diversity is not only likeable but encourages people to work in the company. Flexibility in diversity improves the manpower of the company. Following are some of the benefits of the diversity at workplace.
Workplace diversity can increase creativity
As mention by Martin (2014), people with different cultural background brings different perceptions. The matter can be seen and analysed from different angles. Employees have different ideas of creativity. The team with diversity brings more sets of solutions to the specific problem in comparison to the team having similar background. Companies that have diversity in leading teams tend to develop innovative ideas every year. It enables the companies to become international and help them to overcome from the cultural shock. The knowledge becomes vast and the borders become narrower when workforce of cultural diversity comes together to look develop a product.

Workplace diversity is a key to productivity (Saxena, 2014). Presently, the barriers due to language and cross border have narrowed down. The international trade and investment, which once considered as a dream is now a part of the business through communication and transportation. Workplace diversity makes it possible for the companies to reach out any country of the world and do the business of profit. The productivity has been increased through openings of international markets and availability of materials all over the world. For example, Samsung is not confined to South Korea. It had production all over the world. Diversity of the company enables it to produce its product in other parts of the world with low investment and to gain high profit. Annual meetings are done and the diverse workforce shares its ideas. This keeps them one step ahead and helps them to launch user-friendly products. Diversity helps the companies to become part of global business trends. This helps them to increase their sales.
Workplace diversity can improve employee engagement
As suggested by Downey et al. (2015), workplace diversity helps in improvement of the employee’s relationship. It makes the stronger relationship and builds the trust climate in the working place. It helps the employees to feel included and make them participate in all task assign to the team or an individual person. When employees enjoy each other’s festivals and respect the other belief, it reduces the friction in the company. It motivates the employees to work hard and also encourage them to trust the company. The employees ten to work harder, do the overtime for the company and help the company to generate more profit. The time wasted in solving the disputes among employees are saved and the environment of the office remain peaceful. The company, which involve and encourage the minority group and make them feel important will have both quality and quantity output. Employees work with responsible attitude and think the company as their family. Diversity in workplace emotionally encourages people to remain loyal to the company.

This can only be possible if the company willing to hire potential candidate irrespective of gender, race, age and other diverse factors.
