Introduction:
Social media is reinventing the way we are communicating and interacting with people in the world. This tool has been becoming popular even in the business environment where it is being used as a communication tool within and outside the workplace. This tool has its potential risks and perceived benefits which contains huge potential for future development. All these components have been discussed in this paper through the literature review of ten articles on the subject. The paper includes annotated bibliography of ten peer reviewed papers that would help us in understanding the concept in a better way.

This paper aims at assessing the use of social media in fostering workplace learning and development with a globally diverse work environment. This study is based on a case study analysis of an international service organization implementing wiki system internally. The findings of the paper show that the system used i.e. wiki system makes the organization able to link hybrid knowledge management practices to the virtual collaboration involving daily tasks like documentation, interaction as well as knowledge sharing including learning process from the diverse groups or individuals. This paper is relevant to our study as it addresses the communication strategy of social media involving wiki system for internal communication and learning process at workplace.

There has been proliferation of social media techniques like blogs, social networks, microblogging, wikis etc. at a whopping speed. Managers in the organizations are hoping to use these technologies for improvement of their organizational processes in organization settings. This paper argues that the use of social media has significant outcomes for organizational communication processes as they can conquer behaviors which are impossible to get through traditional means of communication. The paper reviewed previous literature of the subject and unfolded four outcomes beneficial to the organizations i.e. visibility, association, editability and persistence. Combination of these can help the organizational processes at par such as power processes, socialization as well as knowledge sharing. This paper talks about the facilitation of organization communication processes with the use of social media technologies.
