The author of this article elaborates on mimetic as a type
of transformation. Memes are the type because they usually tuned to suit set of communication rules. Conceptually, as Dawkins described, the memes are different from those of the Internet. Specifically, he envisions the meme as a cultural unit (or idea) and seeks to replicate for his own survival. Dawkins's thoughts or memes are inherently selfish and vicious, and competition infects individual thinking and uses these ideas as carriers of reproduction.
