In an organization the ERP system acts like the network that has connected all the computers in the company.
In an organization there are multiple departments that act and coordinate among themselves. The ERP system does the act of coordination among the computers and the different departments in such a way that it improves the business processes of the organization and makes it more efficient. The sectors in the organization can coordinate in a much better, faster and a smooth way. The networking effect of the ERP system helps the sectors to gain access to different nodes of the same system and thus utilising the data and making business processes better.
ERP is a real time system which means that the uploaded or the modified data that the user puts up on the system is visible to the users simultaneously. Since ERP system is an integrator, one of the most strongest points of an ERP system is that it eliminates the duplicity that is present in the system and removing the incompatible softwares which prove costly to the organization
The case is about the implementation of the ERP system in a small medium enterprise
situation/environment. There is a small chocolate manufacturing company that is present in
Kota Kinabalu Sabah, which is one of the two Malaysian states on the island of Borneo. The

The core competency of the organization is that they actually make the chocolates by hand, all 100% of them.
