Introduction
Leadership is an important context that serves to be one of the significant assets of the organization. Since the optimum use of human resources is effectively formulated by a proper leadership aspect in an organization it plays an important role in determining organizational productivity. As a leader it is not only pertinent to focus on optimizing organizational output but also maintaining a coherent atmosphere within the organization to undertake various functions like planning, organizing, directing, staffing, and controlling. The duty as a leader is much broader because he has to balance between the organizational achievements and the welfare of the employees too. A successful leader has the efficient skills of directing the functions of management and effectively manages organizational operation by implementing his authority.
This paper will effectively evaluate my leadership aspects for leading 20 employees in a small organization. It shall focus on the responsibility as a manager and a leader, the leadership skills and characteristics with its focus on management, operations are undertaken to conduct business within the organization and implementation of necessary changes within the company. Additional focus will contemplate the issues of decision-making skills, communication skills, and intelligence of my leadership.
Leadership and Management
As a leader, it is fundamental to develop a perspective that has an incremental effect on the organization. Since it is a small company there are relevant aspects that need to be effectively dealt with to increase the capability and productivity of the organization. Managing business at its initial stage is significant because these basic foundations are viable for the long-term future of the company. Therefore, sound management practices and effective leadership skills are important to extract benefits for future growth. The critical role in my portfolio will be to develop strategies that are relevant for the growth of the company by optimizing the revenue and other organizational achievements. As a manager, I shall focus on frequent evaluation that will bring about some of the dramatic changes in organizational operations for maximizing productivity and growth.
Role in Organizational Operation
To ensure organizational operation I should focus on reflective measures that will help to influence the employees in my organization. I would focus on the orientation and direct a perspective by setting the vision and mission of the organization to help the employees to achieve their own career goals which are aligned with the mission and vision of the organization. Another important aspect that needs to be accomplished is the way of the orientation of all the human resources and involving them in the decision-making process. Organizing a range of aspects should be an important context in delivering all the relevant elements which help to interact to achieve the organizational goals (Munir & Iqbal, 2018). I agree that human efforts must be effectively organized which vehemently ensures high productivity. Therefore, my management functions will effectively outline the organizational operation.
Implementation of Changes
It is effective to implement changes in the organization to develop the organizational operations and introduce those aspects within the organization for achieving sustained objectives. As a leader, I must implement support and execute changes for effective organizational performance.
