After successful completion of this assignment, students should be able to: b) Explain human factors in achieving business and technical goals through planning and design. c) Develop architectural internetworking design for the business and application domains. Weight Part A: 5% and Part B: 10% Total Marks 60 Word limit NA Due Date Part A Due Date 11:55PM 5th December, 2021 (Week 3) Part B Due Date 11:55 PM 9th January, 2022 (Week 7) Submission Guidelines Assignment 1 being formative assessment is divided into two parts. The first part of assignment 1 focuses on the basic network design concepts that is marked for 5% of the total marks and the second part is an extension of first part with detailed Network design, the remaining 10% of the total marks. Students have to submit the first part by the end of week 3. Assignment 1B would be submitted in week 7. All work must be submitted on Moodle by the due date along with a completed Assignment Cover Page. The assignment must be in MS Word format, 1.5 spacing, 11-pt Calibri (Body) font and 2 cm margins on all four sides of your page with appropriate section headings. Reference sources must be cited in the text of the report, and listed appropriately at the end in a reference list using IEEE referencing style. Extension If an extension of time to submit work is required, a Special Consideration Application must be submitted directly on AMS. You must submit this application three working days prior to the due date of the assignment. Assignment 1 Description Business case study: Network design proposal for a Medical Clinic Description Resolve Medical Centre is a private Medical clinic in the eastern region of Victoria that is attended by about 20 full and part-time staff. You have been hired as consulting network technician to assist them in the setup of a network in the clinic. This Clinic has two storey building with four different departments. The Department details are: Admin (4 persons) Finance (2 persons) Doctors (8 persons) supporting nurses. (3 persons) Admin and finance departments are on ground floor and all doctor room and nurses stand room is on first floor. All staff members excluding nurses need they dedicated workstations. All work stations need to be connected with printers and servers. The company needs a comprehensive, technologically advanced Network solution that is cost effective and allow for network monitoring for this main office. The solution had to be easy to deploy and manage due to limited staff. Client is also requesting wireless internet access at all buildings.
