BN105/BN105D IT for Users in Organizations Page#4 of 8 Prepared by: DR Karthik Nagarajan Moderated by: DR Sanjeeb Shrestha August, 2018 Research Topic Topic – Evaluating service quality of academic and research libraries. Libraries are important part of universities and society at large as they provide access to scientific databases, research content and act as knowledge centres for staff and students. LibQUAL+ is a survey tool that can be used by libraries to understand library users’ opinions of service quality and improve library services in areas they under perform. For more information on LibQUAL+ please visit the following links: http://www.msvu.ca/en/home/library/aboutthelibrary/libqual.aspx https://www.libqual.org/home Once you have familiarised yourself with this survey tool, please select a library that you would like to evaluate in Sydney. You can select a library that you have visited recently OR library from a previous university you studied and evaluate their service quality using LibQual+. You do not have to mention the Library name if you wish to do so, instead you could simply describe this library (suburb, type of services they provide and membership process). Once you have evaluated their service quality using LibQual+ instrument, please identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
