Fragrances should be light enough so they do not disturb other workers. Working in close proximity to others and in closed or windowless offices can compound the problem of a heavy fragrance. In addition, people with allergies can become physically ill from breathing strong scents. After using a product for a period of time, the user becomes less sensitive to the smell and may not be aware that the scent is disturbing to others.
