Measure out 1 level cup (250 ml) of each of the following ingredients, then weigh each sample on a scale:
• Flour lightly spooned into the cup
• Flour spooned into the cup but shaken after every few spoonfuls to allow fl our to settle
• Flour sifted fi rst, then lightly spooned into the cup
• Water (room temperature)
• Thickened starch solution (room temperature)
