Maslow proposed that there is a hierarchy of needs that we need to meet in order to reach our full potential. The needs he outlined, starting with the strongest and most basic, are as follows: physiological, safety, belonging and love, self-esteem, and self-actualization. At what level on Maslow’s hierarchy would you position yourself? Assess which of your needs have been met thus far in your life. Review and the discussion of each need. If there’s a need that has not been adequately met, how is it impacting your life? Consider your friends and what they have told you. Can you detect needs in their lives that have not been adequately met?
