To what extent do you concur? Review the discussion on marketing to vulnerable populations in Chapter 8 of Hartman et al. (2021). Is such marketing ethically responsible? Is it justifiable? Advertising is an effect, which
creates thoughts— both positive as well as negative— and influences the viewers with its effects. It is beautifully quoted by David Ogilvy (2021), who is well known as the “Father of Modern Marketing” that, “Advertising is no doubt the best way or medium to present the product, highlight its quality, and it reaches the customer easily with service. But if this advertising platform is being misused or it is used to present evil things, then it would simply exploit the reputation and it will ruin the marketing strategies”.
If advertising agencies and business farms utilizes this, as a positive source to reach closer to their targeted audience, then would realize that their major problem of promotion was solved. According to Quesenberry (2020), advertising is the best way in marketing, which fetch a new opportunity for each organization to reshape their business perspectives and give a new look. However, the themes, story line, agenda and the motif while presenting the advertisement should bear a positive sense.
